Today was recce session number 2 for MMM. Woke up at 6am and the whole house was all graveyard silence. Though the night before was really noisy when sis came home after her celebration. How cool can it get to get such stellar grades? I wanna study hard too, but of course not as last minute as her. =] So off I went to Macs for breakfast, before heading to city hall to meet the rest of the group.
Lei zung and I waited, and waited and waited.
Sneaked to seven eleven with our other game Ics and we were having picnic there, armed with raisin bread, frutips and doughnuts. Of course all the food was bought by him but I was forced to eat 3 frutips or have them risked stuffed into my ears. Well the wait wasn’t so bad after all! Because we talked about lots of stuff. He’s really a nice guy to talk to.
So when the group came at 2.15pm we got really excited. Sarene saw my new haircut!! (my hair is really kind of short I should have just asked for a mushroom head)well the group was not as enthusiastic nor active as I had expected, I guess everyone was tired. But considering they were the OGLs they could have been more enthu. So I didn’t award full marks because they certainly deserved what they worked for. Well but lei zung gave them a perfect score! I hope they can eliminate that “ I am tired” factor. If not, orientation is going to be nothing but a bore, especially to the freshies. Went over to check out Loretta’s group, they were really full of verve! =] so great effort to all the Ogls and MMM game Ics. And the councillors and the teacher that came along. What’s his name? Mr Horn.
Looking forward to tomorrow for our long awaited 4c gathering. it’s 2pm at Kembangan MRT dudes. We’ll then walk or take bus to Mudd’s house. Looking forward to Monday I’m going to the beach with my best friends. Our usual hang out place! Looking forward to Tuesday. OHNO there isn’t anything on that day other than posting results. I don’t even need to check the results. I think I’m going to visit my tuition teacher Mr. Ng on Tuesday I guess. Shall check with the BBT mavians. Looking forward to Orientation. I hope everything goes well! Can I look forward to lots and lots of studying as well?
Anyway my stay in MJ for the first 3 months has been very fulfilling and enriching. Like I got to see what a college system’s function. It’s no longer like secondary school when you get reminded to do your tasks. It’s very often your own loss if you don’t bother to put in effort for things. I have heard the darkest stories of the school, and I tell myself because I chose the school and not the other way round, I’m not going to let the lamenting and complaints of other MJ dudes affect me. Like what cavin said, it’s your attitude that makes the difference, not about the evil things the school makes you do. At least I had the freedom chose the school, so I will not – WILL NOT regret choosing MJC. I think Orientation was great and fun, but that little bit of fun is only a fabricated façade. I’m looking forward to tougher times that I know I can overcome with God’s strength.
But PAE really plays with your heart strings. If I hadn’t been posted here, I wouldn’t have met many people. My Orientation Group leaders – Adele, Baya, Kenneth and Sebastian.( although I kind of forgot how sebas looked like because I don’t take the effort to keep in contact with him). The choir seniors and the types of choir. The sweet teachers in MJ, especially Mrs Chua our Ct and geog teacher and miss June tan for all those little goodies. My class. 07s501. and of course PAE gave me a chance to know my existing friends like huiqi much better. although we were already very close in secondary school. And it also gives me a better edge over others because I have been in line with the school curriculum. New friends, new system, new way of going to school, new canteen food ( which isn’t something very glorious to talk about hehheh) . So cool.
