man! didn't blog for the past 4 days. orientation 2 was rocking good, with minor flaws here and there. it has been a fulfilling experience, packed with fustration, shouting, (screaming at my OG for being so slack). packed with triumphs, fear, tension,sceaming cheers,smses from jonas, the crazy camp fire (yes, it was crazzzzzzyyyyyyy) and of course, relief.

emotions were at an all high when i was perplexed about the dismal attendance phobos 5 had. i mean, like 20 people in the OG but only 15 came. plus they were feeling really sluggish like "eh? orientation?" i did have a very tough time getting them more.. fascinated with orientation. i felt like i was doing the work of 4 OGLS. i am not saying the rest of my phobos 5 OGLS didn't do their work. they could have been much better, i am serious. or perhaps it's my demanding personality, and i cant stand it certainly, when things progress in very insipid manners.

but i must say that there were some really enthu members in my OG and i thank God for that. like jasmine tai tai, fiona and Jin heng. the others could make do with more shouting and i think the most frequent line i said was " C'MON HURRYYY UP~!!!!!!!"

through this orientation - as a leader - i learnt many many things. i learnt that i have the ability to lead a group of 20 unenthusiasitc and looking-bored people. i learnt that i am a very pushy person, and i do not hesitate to shout at them when they fail to heed my instructions. i learnt that it's no easy feat running such a mega programme. through this i really have learnt to respect the council alot, as well as the house committe members, nadira and wei jia. especially for weijia, i'm proud and more proud to say that he's from TK, and TK has made leaders. wei jia is truly someone i respect alot and i look up to him because he thinks for the house's welfare and spirit at all time, even when it means losing his voice and having to postphone the block tests.

command and control - that's what a leader must achieve before he calls himself one.

ok. moving on to programme proper.

day 1

was supposed to reach school at 645 but because the few phobos dudes were waiting for rossane and teh dang bus took very long to come, we ended up reporting late. oh well. someone always has to be late! ice breakers was a marked failure, because at times i was really clueless with what we were going to do next. oh well it's ok, since it was only a start.
CSI later on was better, but they weren't at even like.. half of their optimum hyper level? anyway it was great coz phobos managed to clinch 1st for CSI, just like what happened in orientaion one. after the freshmen went home, we received a big pep talk from mr yeow, who is a really good speaker and i respect him alot too. made water bombs, went home dead. enthu level was at an all time low, because the debrief really dampened my spirits.

day 2

woke up thinking i has 4780163 more hours to sleep, but unfortunately, i realised i was only in oblivion. forcing myself to crawl out of bed, i managed to reach school super early with michelle and some other OGLS. OH i remember! i went with timothy and hong han whom i met at the MRT station. went to school before departing for my MMM station which was at bras basah. the teacher in charge for my station is.. AIYOH. no words can explain how disappointed we were in her!! she told lei zung that she would "meet us at our station and inspect us, before the 1st group comes" and TADA!! till 4pm there was not even a shadow of her. dammit!
lei zung and i waited for very long, and we went to visit hong han at the national library a few times. triton was reALLY impressive, a cut above the rest of the groups. then we had to go back to HQ which was this church along bugis or something. near SMU. went home with michelle and i am so glad taht i got to talk to my old seating partner in sec 4. how we rushed up to physics lab on the 3rd floor, wanting to reach the lab earlier than jonathan tham who always gave us chewing gum, jelly beans, and all sorts of goodies. HAHA. went home really tired again, but i was relieved MMM was successful.

day 3

wet and wild!! but before that we recapped the dances. i think luke and zhijun are really hilarious people. they just seem to put a smile on my face that easily. W and W was fun, and tada i was the ultimate target at all the stations. after evolving into a swimming pool ( oh man the feeling was great to be simply all soaked from bottom to top. or top to bottom. outside inside out) sarene and i headed to NTUC to grab stuff for the OG to eat during campfire.

i think camp fire was the most successful item in O2. luckily it rained. 10 minutes after we asssembled at the plaza, the heavens opened and binds of rain descended down onto us. we scurried into the hall. that night was crazy, it was pure ecstacy. it was madness, it was extreme mirth. we cheered and cheered and danced and cheered like there was no tomorrow. it was in an enclosed area so the rebeveration made the atmosphere even better. the mascot parade was rally funny because all the callisto mascots came out naked. the phobos one was really hilarious and we laughed like mad. i still like what philip tau pok and the other malay host did.

lastly we found out that phobos managed to clinch a good second, which was sad because we lost to triton by one pathetic point. it was relief - because at least we didn't lose like the past few house events. =]

i also realised that phobos seven (the og i was in for PAE) was really an enthu OG because everyone made it fun. and i am quite a good freshie to start of with too. HAHA.
