2 of my cousins. =]
this morning i was watching CNA news and there was this advertisment for the documentary of the week, entilted " i have tourette's but tourette's doesn't have me". feeling inquisitive i went to check out what tourette's was.
"Tourette Syndrome is best defined in the archives and pages of neurological conditions, syndromes, and disorders. Initially Tourette Syndrome was seen as extremely rare and an individual was viewed as having violent muscle contortions (motor tics) and vocal disruptions (vocal tics) combined with outburst of swearing and obscenities"from
http://www.tourettevery interesting. no cure yet exsists but according to the website, behavioural therapy and other alternative treatments do help to supress the condition of the child. and it happens more often in males than in females. oh well. so we are lucky and blessed to be normal. just that we have to study a teeny weeny more than other kids with such disabilities.
and yesterday! i was watching Asian Food Channel (AFC) [oh man i keep watching TV] and there was this programme about how tribal folks living in Nepal get honey from bee hives. there's most honey in the hive when it's a full moon, so that fascinated me. =] they didn't have any safety gear, just lots of ropes. and the beehives were located deep within the caves in the rugged valleys. oh my very dangerous, and full of impending doom. after they managed to retrieve the honey comb they squeezed out 20+ litres of honey. and they sell this goo-ee stuff called honey wax, which fetches high prices. cool.
i was just informed that there's a 6/2 gathering tomorrow at eddie's codo. HMMM! it has been 5 years since we last met up with each other. absence makes the heart grow fonder, but only for a period of time.
studied chem this morning. i think i understand the shielding/ screening thing under effective nuclear charge (ionisation energy). who on earth came up with s,p,d,f?
lemme check it out.Labels: honey, s p d f orbitals, tourette's
a penny for my thoughts?
